Supercross India Private Limited (“SXI”) shall be organising and staging India’s first ever supercross racing league under the auspices of the Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India (“FMSCI”) titled as the “CEAT – Indian Supercross Racing League” (“Racing League”). The inaugural season of the Racing League for the calendar year 2023 shall be staged from [October], 2023 to [December], 2023 in different cities across India (“Season 1”).
Season 1 of the Racing League is expected to feature 8 (eight) teams (each such team, a “Franchise”). The participating riders in Season 1 of the Racing League are not restricted to those of the Indian nationality only.
Season 1 of the Racing League shall consist of 3 (three) rounds and each round may have 1 (one) or more races for each racing categories as deemed fit by SXI upon consideration of the racing format and the structure. Season 1 of the Racing League shall feature the following racing classes:
- 450 cc International Only Category;
- 250 cc International Only Category;
- 250 cc India-Asia mix Category; and
- 85cc Junior class. (Group A Bikes Only)
The composition of each Franchise for Season 1 of the Racing League shall be determined on the basis of a ‘Player Auction’ to be conducted by SXI (“Auction”). The Auction shall be conducted in the month of September 2023. By submission of this ‘Rider Registration Form’ (“Form”), you express your interest towards participation in the Auction for Season 1 of the Racing League.
The selected riders by the Franchise through the Auction will be considered in the list of the participating riders for Season 1 of the Racing League (“Participating Rider”) Every Participating Rider of a nationality other than the Indian nationality will have to furnish a No Objection letter/ Certificates from their respective National Sporting Authorities (ASN)/National Federations of their respective countries for motorsport, in favour of the FMSCI and SXI.
Remuneration:
There will be a base fee for the Participating Riders which will be paid by the Franchises on a season-to-season basis (“Base Fee”). Apart from the Base Fee, the Participating Riders will also be entitled to the auction bids over and above the Base Fee when they are picked by the Franchisees at the bidding process during the Auction.
Confirmed Rider:
Those Participating Riders who will be chosen by the Franchisee during the Auction to participate in Season 1 of the Racing League as riders of the respective Franchisee or those riders who are directly selected on a contractual basis by a Franchisee from the pool of the registered riders (“Confirmed Riders”). The Confirmed Riders will represent their respective Franchisee as the rider in Season 1 of the Racing League.
Terms and conditions
- By submitting this Form, you will be required to make yourself available to participate in the Racing League, the non-compliance of which requirement could result in curtailed payments or ineligibility to participate in Season 1 of the Racing League as will be more specifically detailed in the standard long form players’ contract (“Player Contract”) to be signed post the Auction results. Further, submission of this Form also implies that you agree not to make yourself available to participate in any other supercross/ motorcycle racing leagues during the period of the Racing League or otherwise commit to any other act/event which would conflict with the Racing League dates or requirements or adversely affect your ability to enter into the Players’ Contract.
- By submitting this Form, you agree that all the details/information submitted by you herein are true and correct to the best of your knowledge and you have/will provide the relevant supporting documents to substantiate the same. You will not be allowed to significantly alter the details/information provided herein without documentary proof for the same.
- By submitting this Form, you agree that you have elected to be named as a ‘rider’ in the Auction and should you be chosen to participate in Season 1 of the Racing League owing to a successful bid by a Franchise, you will provide assistance to SXI and the Franchise towards obtaining the required visas and other international approvals (if necessary) towards your participation in Season 1 of the Racing League on the dates specified herein.
- By submitting this Form, you agree that you will obtain/have obtained the requisite international license(s) required by FIM/FIA/FMSCI in order to comply with the eligibility criteria for your participation in Season 1 of the Racing League.
- By submitting this Form, you agree that in case the documents submitted/details specified in this Form/information shared by you is/are found to be incorrect or misleading, SXI has the right to reject your application/cancel your participation in Season 1 of the Racing League.
- By submitting this Form, you agree that you are medically fit and will be physically able to participate in Season 1 of the Racing League.
- You understand that the submission of this Form does not guarantee your participation in Season 1 of the Racing League and only allows you to register for the riders’ pool for the Auction.
